What cat would suit someone with heart disease?

July 30th, 2011
Aatami asked:

My mom has heart disease and she cannot deal with greater stress, insomnia etc. However we used to have a quiet nice cat and it would help mom deal with being at home all the time. The problem is the cat shouldn’t be a very loud, active or capricious one. As much as I’ve read ragdoll cat would be great but there are nowhere to get one near my place, so maybe there are other options in this case?

How can heart disease cause bloody mouth?

July 25th, 2011
Lucretia asked:

Hello! Today my friend told me that she had blood in her mouth yesterday and that it’s somehow linked to her heart disease (coronary disease).
I’m curious… how is that possible? How exactly a heart disease can cause such behavior?
Can someone please answer?

Can an EKG tell if you have heart disease?

June 24th, 2011
Jenna asked:

Or high cholesterol or anything? I’ve been having heart/chest pain and they said it was just inflammation or muscle strained. But it feels like more than that…. would an EKG and chest X-ray be able to tell if you have heart disease or anything?

Is this possible with a person having a congenital heart disease?

May 23rd, 2011
Yurie asked:

I’m not sure if this is medically proven or correct coz i just invented this. For example, a person is born with congenital heart disease, and his heart is weak ever since. But he is an athlete. He plays basketball since he was a child. And being an athlete helps him survive, because basketball is a sport and sport is a form of exercise, right? And exercise is good for the heart. So he survived BECAUSE of playing basketball? Can that possibly happen?

Relationship between coronary heart disease, angina, heart failure and heart attack?

May 14th, 2011
Frankie asked:

I don’t quite understand this. Are any of these correct?

1) Angina, heart failure and heart attack are symptoms of coronary heart disease
2) Angina, heart failure and heart attack are types of coronary heart disease
3) Angina, heart failure and heart attack are caused by coronary heart disease
4) Angina, heart failure and heart attack are steps of coronary heart disease

If not then can anyone please explain to me how they are related. I have read my textbook and class notes and have googled it already and am still confused.

Thanks to anyone who helps :)
